Balancing RAW with REAL Life
Its been a month of frolicking over the rainbow in the wonderful green world of Kris Carr and I’m sure you like many of my friends are wondering, sooooo how’s it going? Wellllllll I went two weeks straight VEGAN and then one morning I stared into my beautiful green juice and said . . . seriously think I’m going to puke if I drink another one of these! Ok so what did I learn? I learned that being healthy ultimately means finding balance for your specific individual needs. At the moment, at least that I know of, I’m a completely healthy 34 year old woman…who did just so happen to gain a whopping 15 pounds over the course of a year after relocating to NYC (FYI: deli sandwiches & pizza ROCK here). Oh and Cancer “runs” in my family :/ So where I’m at and where you are at could be two completely different places. BUT I do believe we share one common goal my friend and that is ULTIMATE HEALTH! I want to look as good on the “inside” as I do on the outside. I want my outside to be a reflection of my inside! With that said what the heck have I been living off of?! I juice two or three times a week for breakfast. When not juicing I have a SOYJOY or a KIND bar. OH SNAP, I’m having something with milk or eggs in it?!?! Moderation people, moderationnnn! If you are strict on the no eggs or dairy then try the KIND bar. Lunch: Ezekiel bread w/almond butter sandwich or a salad. Snack: fruit or a LARA bar or NUTS (I am nuts about nuts)! Dinner: RAW VEGGIES or lightly cooked veggies!!!! Oh and yes I DO have a glass or two of Sauvignon Blanc wine w/club soda once or twice a week. I will update you with my specific foodie list but for now that’s all I got green unicorns, stay POW’POW’POW'AHFULLLLL ;)
