The Story

One evening while out at bar a man who was walking by me grabbed my arm and said . . . (drum roll please ) "YOU'RE PRETTY HOT FOR A BIG GIRL." I was so taken back by his statement that I actually had no reaction at all, just total and complete numbness. That was the exact moment I knew I had to do something about my 55 pound weight gain that had gradually taken place over the course of 3 years. (5'3, 175 lbs.)

I had just celebrated my 30th birthday and what in the HELL had happened to my body?! Okay I'll tell you what happened . . . fast food, take out, late night gas station food runs, binge drinking etc. etc. etc. That's what the hell happened! Junk in the trunk, oh yes there was lots! So what did I do? Well obviously I ran out to the nearest book store and bought several 'road to no where' books as I like to call them. You know the ones in the diet/weightloss section and failed miserably in my mission. So I said to myself diets are for LOSERS and I love to WIN so I moved onto plan B! I was not going to diet, all I was going to do was eat healthy. Yes that's it, plain and simple! And so my journey began, I read books based on nutrition, got motivated by the contestants on the Biggest Loser, listened to EVERYTHING Dr. OZ had to say and got my a** moving!

Three years later the weight is still off, I feel better and look better than I ever have in my ENTIRE life! I actually look ten years younger, YES I'm serious! I would like to take a moment to thank that drunk a**hole in the bar and to ALL the men that wouldn't date me when I was a BIG girl I say LOOK AT ME NOW . . . WINK WINK ;)
